1. The preparation outline should be typed in complete sentences – this should be everything you plan to say during the presentation.
2. You can have up to five main points
(I. II. III. IV. V.).
3. Main points must be supported by at least two sub-points (A and B).
4. Sub-points must be supported by at least two sub-sub-points (1 and 2).
5. Sub-sub-points must be supported by at least two sub-sub-sub-points (a and b).
References should be typed at the end of the preparation outline using APA format.

1. This should be a condensed version of the complete-sentence (preparation) outline. It should be one sheet of paper, front side only.
2. The page is to help you remember what you want to say and in what order.
3. The information you use from your sources/references should be included on this page.
Rubric
• Have a theme or backbone slide – choose an appealing, consistent template or theme, usel resources= www.fppt.com, www.slidemania.com, www.canva.com
• Font size must be 30 pt+ (may use two different fonts)
• Use the 5 x 5 rule – no more than five lines with five words per line. Limit the reading required of the audience (Do not put your outline on your visual aid!)
• May use a combination of pictures and words or just words on the slides.
• Make sure information is laid out in an aesthetically pleasing way.
• Balance creativity with clarity – keep slides simple for audience to understand; use animation sparingly
• Cite your sources while presenting the speech
• Show slides when it is relevant (do not forget to move through the presentation while speaking)
• The presentation media will be submitted in the assignment.
• Presentation should support the speech – not distract from the information.
