This assignment is a research paper comparing and contrasting a non-traditional view of Genesis and creation with the traditional Christian view of the 24/hr day and young earth view of creation. This is a Christian school and a religion course so Biblical evidence and mindset should be used. I have attached the annotated Bibliography that was submitted previously so try and use those sources if at all possible. Turabian 9th edition is the format. “I have decided to research and write my paper from the Day-Age view of creation. The Day-Age theory states that the 6 days of creation and day of rest are metaphorical in nature. That they are not 24-hour days, but instead they refer to blocks of time, which could be any length at all. Additionally, some proponents of the view believe that some aspects of evolution are true, and were God’s mechanisms for creation. I chose this view because I have shared the first of these beliefs for some time prior to this course and am excited for an opportunity to study the actual arguments behind it and either strengthen my beliefs, or change them in accordance with what is found.”
