I have volunttered at City arvest london in Acton. Ill attach the pictures later when the report is done. The social cause is mostly food waste and fighting the hunger in the UK. You can use a lot of informationfrom their website. I have volunteered for 5 hours and what i did was distrubuting snacks from big pallets in huge boxes to little boxes that will be delieved around London. I have also checked the quality of fruits that i was sorting (did they go wrong or are they still eatable) I have also worked in the fridge checking wheter the food is expired (i personally was super surprised about the amount of food that is going to waste) On my way back home i met the founder of City Harvest Londona and she told me that during my voluuntering time i secured 500 meals for people. The organization itself feeds around 120 000 ppl weekly. I have felt amazing . the reason i chose this is because i have akwasy been wondering where the food goes after it gets bad and im very sad about teh fact that some ppl can just throw food aways easily, while other are sufferingn to get 2 meals a day. Reflect on social issues you care about based on personal experiences, academic interests, values, and passions. Select one area to focus on for this project.

Research Local Social Impact Organisations
Conduct research to identify local organisations/initiatives in London that are doing impactful work related to your selected social change area. For instance: Soup kitchens, small-scale mentoring programs, climate action advocates, legal services for community members etc.
Learn about the organisations’ history, mission, approach, projects, intended impact, and any challenges they aim to address.
Based on your research, select one organisation to engage with further for this project.
Engage with the Organisation
Contact the firm and explore ways you can contribute directly to their work for at least 5 hours over 2-3 weeks.
Possibilities include volunteering for a specific project, helping with an upcoming event, conducting informational interviews with staff, observing day-to-day operations, etc.
Your engagement should provide value to the initiative while allowing you to gain deeper understanding of their changemaking model.
Conduct Critical Analysis
Adopt a “beginner’s mindset” to thoughtfully analyse the organisation’s approach to driving social change and addressing community needs.
Consider how they define and measure their intended impact. How effectively is it creating change?
Identify any challenges or limitations faced by the initiative. What improvements could be made to their model?
Analyse how your personal experiences and learnings from the course relate to this organisation’s work.
Prepare Visual Report
Create a +/- 20 slide visual presentation that provides an overview of your project and critical analysis. DONOT submit an essay or text heavy slides.
The report should include:
Brief background on the social issue and details of your engagement with the organisation
Analysis of the company’s mission, approach, impact, challenges, and potential improvements
Your reflections on how this experience contributed to your understanding of social change
Recommendations for enhancing the organisation’s changemaking model and impact
