Assignment Description The assignment – You will create a digital marketing strategy for a new product launch. The product could be an actual product that exists in the marketplace or a fictitious product that you make up. You should include the strategy for the brands website, social media channels and influencer strategies. KEEP IN MIND: This strategy needs to be a 360 degree approach using multiple digital media approaches. What messages are you going to use on what platforms? Use your notes from class and any other resources to research your strategy. Assignment Details (15) 1. Product details Give a detailed description of the product. It could be an existing product or a fictitious product. What is it? What does it do? How do you use it? What is the packaging? Why did you choose that packaging? What are the features and benefits (give two of each)? What is the cost of goods? What is the retail price? Why should they buy it?(how will it help them?) (10) 2. Demographics Who is the target audience/who is the product for? How old are they? What gender are they? Education level? Nationality(ies) (15) 3. Marketing Assets What marketing assets are you going to create for this product and how are you going to use them? Use both traditional and digital assets. Be specific when you describe them and how they will be used. (20) 4. Social Media Strategies Develop a strategy to promote your launch on 4 different social media platforms. For each platform describe in detail what the post will entail. Be specific about what type of post you would use on what platform. Be descriptive, use all the best practices we have discussed (10) 5. E-Commerce Strategies Explain how you would use the brand website to promote the product. What will you do on the website? What strategies would you use on a retail partner website to promote the launch? (10) 6. Influencer Strategy Develop a strategy on how you could use an influencer to help promote the launch. Who would it be and why? What would you have them do to increase awareness of your product? Be detailed with what you would have them do and what platforms would you use?
