PowerPoint Foundations Presentation
The purpose of this assignment is to share your research with your course colleagues and to facilitate these course objectives: Demonstrate the ability to write with cultural sensitivity, accuracy, and clarity; Demonstrate the ability to construct fundable proposals to foundations and governmental agencies; and demonstrate general computer literacy.
Assignment Overview: Students will prepare a *PowerPoint-style presentation with audio and/or video narration discussing the elements below. This can be completed using PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva, or other preferred presentation software. Students will upload a video with audio recording of their PowerPoint-style presentation for this assignment. It is not required to use a camera. The completed assignment will include the visual presentation (whichever software/application you selected) with your audio recording. The presentation should include the following information:
Discuss the cultural group and social problems researched for your own APA paper. (Cajun Culture, Mental Health Issues)
Identify and share an overview of two organizations/agencies which provide resources pertaining to the selected cultural group and/or address the identified social problem(s).
Identify and share an overview of two foundations which provide opportunities for securing funding if you are a service provider/organization seeking funding for your program. For example, if I am a director for one of the programs/organizations in #2, where and how can I get funding? Brief history of the foundation
Funding proposal information: This is information that would be useful if submitting a proposal for a grant or other source of funding the foundation might seek. In other words, what are the requirements and how do I apply?
Include a Bibliography/Reference page including all of your sources of information with hyperlinks to the organizations and foundations.
