In Part 2, you will be conducting an annotated bibliography of academic sources related to combating misinformation. The purpose is to begin to understand the body of academic literature related to combating misinformation to help craft your ultimate recommendations to the candidate/organization you’ll be advising in Part 3.
The ASU Library has a wealth of information on how to conduct an annotated bibliography here. The linked sources also provide you with samples of what an annotation should look like.
In order to conduct the annotated bibliography, you will likely need to use either the ASU Library’s article search, or more easily (in my opinion), Google ScholarLinks to an external site..
I do not have a preference on citation style (though I tend to use APA), as long as you are consistent with a given style guide’s parameters. Just choose your favorite!
Your final product should contain 15-20 academic citations (again, specifically related to combating misinformation). All citations must come from outside of our course readings/syllabus.
As you write your annotated paragraph include both a summary of the source AND an evaluation of the validity of the source and its usefulness. Paragraphs should be in full sentences 100-200 words long. Length of the entry is often linked with the length of the source. See examples provided in link above.

Evaluate the accuracy and validity of the source
Describe the usefulness of the source
Please use Calibri, font size 12 for your annotations. No cover page is required.
