You will use your required resources this week to review examples of scandals and select the one you would like to focus on. You will then do your own research on the company and scandal chosen to find articles and other sources to inform your paper. If there is a business or corporate scandal not listed here that you would like to analyze for your paper, you may contact your instructor to seek approval.
Prior to beginning work on this assignment,
Read The Biggest Scandals of 2020.
Read These Are the Worst Scandals of the Past Decade.
Read Business Behaving Badly: The State of Corporate Scandal in 2019.
Read How to Recover After a Corporate Scandal.
Then select one company scandal relating to sustainability or CSR that you would like to analyze.
In your final paper,
Provide an overview of the company you selected.
Summarize the scandal you selected.
Explain how the organization did or did not act responsibly—ethically, environmentally, or socially—regarding the incident.
Describe who or what was responsible for the incident.
Describe at least one thing the organization should or could have done differently.
Explain possible ways to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
Recommend the best way for society and stakeholders to prevent future scandals of this type.
