The objective of this assignment is to offer an opinion on how well a particular content creator achieves their purpose. Essentially, you will “review” a piece of content the way a journalist would.
● Be engaging. When summarizing the content’s rhetorical situation, set the stakes for its context by offering some information about the current trends of the genre. For example, is the purpose of the song, movie, or video game aligned with what other songs, movies, or video games are doing right now? What makes this content special relative to what else is out there? Relate to the reader by speaking the language of a fellow fan
● Be bold. Argue your position with conviction and clarity. Prove you have an understanding of the content you chose by being passionate about it. Don’t just say that you like it—explain it, why you like it by identifying what it aims to articulate and how well you feel it gets its point across
● Be thorough. Include researched details about the content creator that are relevant to the content’s rhetorical situation, as this may help the reader understand your thesis. Interviews the creator has given about how and why they made the content will be the best places to look for information
● Be judicious. Only rely on reputable sources to support your thesis. Choose publications other fans of the genre know and trust. This paper must include at least three sources and a works cited page.

To cite an online article written by only one author, you must include the following details in this exact order:
The author’s Lastname followed by a comma, then their Firstname
The “title of the article” in quotation marks
The title of the website in italics
The date the article was published
The URL link to the article

Everything is exactly the same except the second author is included right after the first in a standard Firstname Lastname format.
