You need to develop a Lesson Plan and Analyse a language lesson video
1. Lesson Plan: Using the lesson plan template on Moodle, you will design an original lesson of approximately 50 minutes duration for a year level of your choice (primary or secondary). Using the Victorian Curriculum (https://victoriancurriculum.vcaa.vic.edu.au/languages/chinese/second-language-learner/curriculum/f-10) for your specified language (Chinese), you can choose either the F-10 or 7-10 sequence to base your lesson content. Suggested word length is approximately 400-500 words (extracts from the curriculum document can be excluded from word count). NOTE: word count can be considered more as a guide for the proportion of marks within the total marks for this assignment – your actual ‘word count’ for a lesson plan will vary greatly depending on Year level, tasks, language (e.g. character scripts versus alphabet) and so on.
2. Analysis of language lesson video:  approximately 900-1000 words (approximately 100 to describe the lesson then the remainder for analysing the focus aspects
and suggested modifications).
Analyse a video of a language lesson to provide a brief description of the lesson and then a detailed analysis of 1-2 aspects of the teaching and learning. This analysis will also include suggestions for modifications and improvements to these aspects. Some possible areas to focus on are:
• the pedagogical approach (e.g. teacher-centred, student-centred, a combination of both)
• approach to teaching interpretive, presentation and interpersonal communication
• corrective feedback
• student interaction
• assessment for, of and as learning
• focus on form and focus on meaning
• differentiation
• target language use
