Submit a typed document by the deadline on the course schedule. Submissions must

April 2, 2024

Submit a typed document by the deadline on the course schedule. Submissions must be at least one page in length and show sufficient effort towards completion in all major areas. Additionally, this document must provide at least one source outside the textbook/course material. My strong suggestion? Utilize the library to find a peer-reviewed article.
STEP 1: Identify a reality television series you wish to focus on (no earlier than the 2000s). Aim to watch at least one episode.
STEP 2: Write a brief description of the series that is not more than one paragraph – this should include when the reality series premiered, how long it has been running, etc.
STEP 3: Provide at least one critics review of the reality series (Note: If it has been running longer than five years, you must provide two critics reviews to show the change over time). Note: this can be drawn from multiple sources, just be sure to give credit to where credit is due and share your thoughts on the critique. It could entail whether you agree or not or expand further into the premises of how this course material can be tied to it. Consider what theoretical lens could be potentially tied to your analysis of the tv series.
STEP 4: Identify what the series is ‘selling’ as the typical family within its context (Note: If necessary, you may choose a specific episode, perhaps the pilot, to focus on). Identify and apply at least one peer-reviewed source, outside the textbook, to your analysis. There are various ways to find a source. Ideally, the resource provided some sort to insight. When alluding to it, be sure to cite properly.
Written format
This should be constructed in a word or PDF document that is formatted in Times New Roman, 12 point font, double-spaced, black font. No Title page is required for this version of the assignment. Name, Course number, and date will be constructed on the left side of the paper, still adhering to the format emphasized. Your paper will contain subheadings.
Sub heading 1: Title of the Series, this is followed by your brief description
Sub heading 2: Critique(s)
Sub heading 3: Message on Family
Reference page: Your references should begin on a new page separate from the text of the essay; label this page “References” in bold, centered at the top of the page (do NOT underline or use quotation marks for the title). All text should be double-spaced just like the rest of your essay. At minimum, the OpenStax, the Tv series, and the external source should be referenced.
