For this annotation assignment you will be doing three sets of annotations. Each set on a different play. Submit your assignment as one file in PDF or Word document format. Be sure to note when you transition to each play.
Annotations 1-5:
Do an annotated close reading on Antigone by Sophocles, from Chapter 14, noting at least five instances from the following aspects: hamartia, tragic flaw, hubris/hybris, catharsis, reversal, recognition, dramatic/tragic irony.
Annotations 6-10:

For *one act of the play, provide a total of five annotations for any the following aspects: aside, soliloquy, comic relief, high comedy, low comedy, satiric comedy, romantic comedy. Note: sometimes something can be more than one label; for example, a satiric comedy is a type of high comedy. You can give more than one label or just choose one. However, each segment you quote from the play only counts as one annotation, no matter how many labels you attach to it.
*You can choose to annotate for more than one act if you wish.
Note: if you select a play other than Hamlet, you will not be able to use the highlighting feature of your online textbook! You will need to find another way to provide your annotations. One option is to type out the segment you are annotating. Then label it and provide commentary explaining your choice of label. Do this for five segments.
Annotations 11-15:
Pick one act from A Doll House in Chapter 27 and do your annotated close reading on at least five instances from the following aspects: realism, naturalism, characteristics of problem plays and well-made plays, flashbacks.
