- Pick one type of disorder. Just from your own sense of understanding about the world, how do you think this type of disorder begins? That is, what do you think is the cause? And, what do you think might be the best approach in treating this condition?

I tell my students that if you can think of the object, animal, person, or place, I bet they have a technical name for that kind of phobia. - What three phobias surprised you the most?
- What makes these phobias a clinical condition? Remember, just being scared of something doesn’t make it a phobia.
