Find a peer-reviewed journal article that is either a qualitative study or quantitative study related to a social work practice/research area that you have observed at your field placement site. Be sure the article has the following components of a study:
Purpose of the study
Literature review
The major research questions and/or hypothesis
If applicable, the dependent, and independent variables
Using that article, in an essay (750-1,000 words), address the following:
Provide a brief summary of the study and identify the purpose and significance of the study.
Then, explain the quality of the literature review and the theoretical framework.
Explain the major research questions and/or hypotheses, and, if applicable, the dependent, and independent variables.
Explain the strengths and limitations of the study related to research design, sampling, measures, validity, reliability, data collection methods and data analysis.
Explain how you would remedy any weaknesses of the study.
Explain how a social work practitioner could use the results of the study to inform their practice
