Then, go to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC website): https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/diseases-and-conditions.htm Click on the individual diseases and conditions that interest you and read about them. Make a list of the health outcomes you are especially concerned with from this data (3-5).
Lastly, conduct your own research on another 1-3 health outcomes you are interested in studying this semester. What sources did you use? List them here:
Finally, populate the table below with the information from your 3 searches:

Go through your list. Cross out conditions that cannot be prevented or managed through modifiable risk factors (e.g., they are caused by genetic factors). Then, cross out the health outcomes that can only be managed by medical intervention (e.g., surgery) or medication (e.g., sickle cell anemia). From the health outcomes remaining, circle or bold the top 3 health outcomes you are interested in studying this semester. Rank them in order of preference here:
