This what I have so far. As a military dependent, I was raised to respect my elders. Playing football since I was young helped me to gain leadership skills. As the team captain people looked highly of me. Although I wasn’t book smart, my character showed how intelligent I was through high school. Arriving to commerce was an eye opener. Instead of playing football, I chose to study in my books. Being the leader that I am, I chose to get involved early as freshman. By starting out as a lion ambassador and ending as diversity and inclusion representative. Based off my involvement at Texas A&M University Commerce, I’ve grown into a better leader. My five core values are accountability, discipline, perseverance, authenticity, and honesty. Happiness and success is all that is important to me. Poor preparation prevents poor performance. This is dearly to me because time does not stop for nobody and you never know when your next day may be. I abide by this statement because it raised me to become the person I am. My behavior that facilitated my values by being honest, being authentic, being accountable, however; I didn’t stay disciplined. My behavior reflected myself by being around the wrong people at the wrong time. If someone heard about my behavior the facilitated in the sanctions, they will understand that I was at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people. Defending yourself from harm is always right. The policy that I violated is violence. The purpose that is serves is to create a safe secure environment. The university cares about the students behavior because I have a goal to achieve. Which is to graduate and receive my degree. My responsibilities as a good citizen of the community is to obey the federal, state, and local laws and student handbook. My decisions could have impact in my future by not getting a degree. Not having the same rights as regular citizens. I’ve could’ve been in jail. Thankfully learning about Title IX and sexual violence this avoided the consequences of time and money. One thing I should of done better in critical thinking was to leave the area. I learned from the situation that people will come into your life and try to take everything away from me and my future. And I learned to being genuine can make a person think they have all the authority over you. I learned that people will damage your things that you’ve worked hard for. I learned that everything happens for a reason and you can only control yourself in problematic situations.
