1. Discuss some of the legal and ethical issues in Hays (ch. 3). Continue your line of thinking and discuss the pros and cons of assessment. From your experience also add if it is possible for us to just measure students through conversations with them, interviewing them? Do we need assessment tools at all (In what sense do we need objective measures to avoid bias, not to cloud our thinking/assumptions)?
2.Answer the following questions after reading Hays (ch. 4):
a. Provide at least one example for bias in assessment
b. What are examples of culture-fair tests?
c. Discuss what accommodations you can provide as a counselor for individuals with disabilities
