For reporting the results of this change proposal, a dissemination plan would be drafted that allows capacity-building among stakeholders. Virtual platforms such as zoom meetings, video conferences, etc. appear to be good modes of dissemination. The results would be first announced to the team and organization’s stakeholders by scheduling such a meeting. A webinar can be conducted to provide opportunities to further learn about the key findings and discuss lessons learned from the evaluation. A summary of the evidence-based change proposal can be added to the website of the facility. External methods would include collaborative workshops, brainstorming sessions, and using PowerPoint presentations. Posters highlighting the results can be placed at reception counters, information centers, patient waiting rooms, bulletin boards, etc. Presenting the abstract of the research in forthcoming nursing conferences and events is another external dissemination method. Publication of research in leading journals that provide free access is the most frequently recommended dissemination strategy, which helps to inform external and internal stakeholders (Brownson et al., 2018).
Dissemination of results to both internal and external stakeholders and professionals ensures the information is communicated to diverse settings that promote learning, exploration, and utilization of the results in nursing education and practice (Brownson et al., 2018). The communication strategy utilized would also be based on the type of audience. For example, the hospital board is the primary audience that can make the decision or change possible. Therefore, the communication style should be simple and direct so that it explains the problem and implications of results using precise words and phrases. The secondary audience such as the professional nursing organization includes stakeholders who are in a position to influence the decisions or actions of the primary audience. Hence the external communication method would focus exclusively on the chief findings and their important implications (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2021).
