Here is the format for the paper:
Title of Paper [bold – centered]
All paragraphs should be first-line indented .5”. The introduction section of the paper does not need a heading called “Introduction”. The introduction begins on the next line after the title – left-justified – .5” first-line indent.

4. The significance of the study for particular audiences
5. The purpose statement (p. 100) [use automatic formatting for numbered/bulleted lists].
Heading Level One [bold – centered]
Heading level one begins as your first major heading after the introduction. Text begins as next paragraph
Heading Level Two [left-justified, bold, Title Case]
Text begins as a new paragraph
Heading Level Three [left-justified, bold, italicized, Title Case]
Text begins as a new paragraph
Heading Level Four [left-justified, indented .5”, bold, Title Case, ending with period]. Text continues as a new paragraph on the same line.
General Framework for Research Articles
1. Introduction (follows the title of the paper on page 3; does not have a heading – see 2.27; ends with the purpose statement)

1. Running Head: The running head is on every page. Do not use the phrase “Running Head”
2. Page Number: on every page.
3. Title of Paper: The title of the paper is now bolded on both the Title Page as well as on the first page of the paper.

8. First in-text citation of multiple authors: The first in-text citation of a work by more than two authors may list on the first author, followed by “et al.”.
9. Tables and Figures:
a. Within figures, font size should be between 8 and 14pt. (see APA 2.19)
b. Tables and Figures can be placed in the manuscript in two ways:
i. To place all tables and figures on separate pages after the reference list
ii. To embed each table and figure within the text after its first callout
iii. the tables and figures to be embedded within the text unless the table is so large that its content is covers multiple pages]
c. All tables and figures should be left justified
d. One double-spaced line should be between the text and the table or figure
e. The Table/Figure Number is now bolded above the table
f. Use decimal tabs to align columns of numbers (see the
