The assignment this week includes an analysis of the Adverse Childhood Experience Study (ACE). You will be writing a 3–5-page paper that examines the impact of trauma across the lifespan and ultimately upon the individuals who you intend to work with in your specialization. For the paper, you will need to include the ACE study and at least two additional peer reviewed journal articles. Include each of the following components within the paper:

Part 1
Using the ACE Pyramid and the ACE study, explain how adverse childhood experiences can impact neurodevelopment, lead to impairments, and result in the adoption of health risk behaviors. Include these elements:
At least three ways that adverse childhood experiences can impact neurodevelopment.
At least three ways that impact neurodevelopment leads to social, emotional, and cognitive impairment.
At least three examples of health risk behaviors that are adopted and how these behaviors are connected to the initial experience and impact of an adverse childhood experience.

Consider the clientele who you plan to work with in your specialization and analyze how adverse childhood experiences may impact their development and the treatment/services you provide for these persons. Include the following:
An analysis of at least two ways that adverse childhood experiences might affect the potential effectiveness of treatment/services that you provide to clients within your specialization.
An analysis of at least two ways that adverse childhood experiences may affect the emotions and behavior of individuals who you work with in your specialization.
