A literature review is a written summary of scholarly work on a particular topic in the form of a thoughtful synthesis and evaluation of relevant literature based on a thesis. Papers will be evaluated based on comprehensiveness of review, evaluation of extant literature, synthesis of thought, and grammar and spelling.
Organize by theme. Subheadings are a really great way to keep the paper organized and flowing consistently from one thought to another. In gathering the articles that you’ll be writing about, you should identify the trends. What is what you are finding telling you and how can you chunk this information into 3-5 major categories?
