Peer reviewed feedback 1:
Hello,
I think that you have chosen a very relevant and interesting topic for your research project as the pandemic has had a huge impact on many businesses.
How effective is the research that has been undertaken?
Within your research project you have chosen to look at the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the usage of food delivery apps in Hong Kong. As the pandemic is fairly recent, the research topic is therefore quite original which you have reinforced within your summary when discussing the challenges of data being limited. This research will there help to build up and improve understanding of the developing subject area once completed (WILEY, N.D).
From the summary, I cannot ascertain whether any primary data has been collected. The consideration of all food delivery apps does feel quite broad however as the researcher has pointed out that data is currently limited, this broader consideration may help to ensure that adequate amounts of data can be included (Saunders et al, 2019).
How academically credible is the project?
Credibility of the project is often considered by looking at the sources of information, the amount of data and the quality of it. For example, is the secondary data used from a reliable source such as a peer reviewed journal entry (Landoy et al, 2020).
The research summary is clear and well written and refers to a number of peer reviewed journals within the reference section such as Chotigo et al (2021). This therefore suggests that the project is academically credible however any other sources that the researcher has used that aren’t listed in the summary should also be considered for this.
Has the project fulfilled the requirements of the objectives?
The researcher has provided some interesting facts and figures within the research summary which helps to start answering the question around the impact of the pandemic however as a breakdown of the objectives isn’t provided within the summary, I can’t at this stage confirm if the project has fulfilled them.
Overall, I feel that this sounds like a very interesting project and the researcher has made a lot of progress towards completing it, referring to some strong academic journal sources.
Many Thanks
Rachel

Peer reviewed feedback 2:
Hi,
Thank you so much for sharing your project research.
1. How effective is the research that has been undertaken?
The impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic is extremely strong from many points of view. The birth of several food delivery Apps has totally revolutionised the concept of organised food delivery in recent years. The food delivery App Usage in Hong Kong since the beginning of the pandemic has certainly undergone an immense change due mainly to the various restrictions or lockdowns, smart working, fear of contagion and more time available and the desire to cook (McDermott & Swinnen, 2022).
The researcher has chosen a relatively new topic and therefore the amount of data available is limited and could be influenced from different perspectives due to the nature of some sources. The research project covers a specific subject as the study of the impact on the food delivery app usage in Hong Kong tightens the field of action on a precise country which makes the framework of a potentially more coherent and narrow effective research.
2. How academically credible is the project?
It is important to remember that in order for a research project to be academically credible the primary and secondary research need to be free of errors and bias. The overview of the research completed so far suggests some details of secondary research but does not offer a complete view in my opinion. It is crucial to use reliable sources in order to validate the research project and achieve its purpose. The topic chosen as already mentioned is a fairly new topic due precisely to the timeline of the evolution of Covid but the analysis and research of the right resources such as official reports, business’s reports, official statistics as well as peer-reviewed journals can offer the basis for the development of the project (Vasilyeva & Shilov, 2021). The researcher mentioned some official data from Business’s reports and statistics released by governmental bodies which suggests the right direction to achieve the project’s purpose of being academically credible.
3. Has the project fulfilled the requirements of the objectives?
Based on King Fan review of the research project, I believe that the sole exclusive use of secondary research has offered ample material for the development of the project despite the difficulty to access to. According to King Fan, I believe the project has been completed but I don’t think I can fully confirm if the objectives have been fulfilled based only on the information available to me. I believe that the summary key points start to answer the question’s research project around the impact of the pandemic on Food Delivery App Usage in Hong Kong which will only be validate by the credibilities of the sources.
