Performance Enhancing Drugs and Blood Doping
Because steroids and other performance enhancing drugs are illegal in most sports, some athletes are turning to blood doping. The International Olympic Committee even created a foundation called the World Anti-Doping Agency in 1999.
Research and describe the process of blood doping. Do you think blood doping should be illegal? Why or why not? Provide evidence to support your stance. What negative effects does blood doping have on athletes? Your focus should be on using evidence about the structure and function of the parts of the Blood and Cardiovascular System which are affected here.
You must use evidence from at least one outside reputable source in addition to your textbook. Avoid using a question/answer format.
