Can you explain this quote, based on what you know and infer about Julia’s character so far. Why is Freddy telling her this? (think about “people like you”–> who is Julia?).
5. Describe Julia and her parents’ relationship.
6. Identify a setting in these first 123 pages of the novel (there are many, so just choose one!). What role does this setting play in the novel?
7. Please write one paragraph that argues (that just means you make a point that you support and explain) why a particular setting in I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter is significant.
