My thesis statement is how the Indian Removal act was the beginning of America’s route towards systematic racism. I am wanting to relate how Native American’s were treated and segregated from the rest of America to how African Americans were treated and segregated.
below is a list of instructions for the annotated bibliography.
Each paper will include no less than fifteen (15) sources for developing the research paper. At least seven (9) of these sources are to be primary sources. Remember, a primary source is one that is a participant or eyewitness to an event or situation.
Please feel free to discuss this with me in greater detail if you are confused on the definition or question a source you may have. Do not forget, not every source may be used in the final paper. Therefore, it is important to have more sources than expected.
Only those sources actually used count as sources and they are the only ones you are to include in the bibliography. Sorry, Wikipedia, encyclopedias, DVDs including other production media, and dictionaries are unacceptable. Also, no more than two (2) general / personal web-based research sources per research paper.
However, you can use up to ten (10) college / university special collections websites. Use the web to find your information and then examine the hard copy when possible. Research hint: Make sure you take a look at Google Books. Google Books will be considered as books and NOT a website. The same is true for newspapers found online.
