Classmate I chose: Being self-reliant is the best thing you can do for yourself when working on something. With the ability handle things on your own without others help brings joy and a different way of learning. I love being self-reliant because it means I am able to work effectively by myself, if necessary.
Finishing projects and tasks by myself gives me another level of experience. By doing things myself I learn how to do new things so if I am ever asked to do it again I can handle it myself without having to ask someone else how they did it. The greatest thing about being self-reliant is the joy that comes with being able to say I did it myself with no help. I know the importance of asking others for help but doing it myself means a ton to me.
Becoming self-reliant was no small task, with failure and success, the up and downs brought me to where I am today. Within the years of learning about myself, being able to handle jobs by myself brought me intense joy and made me feel so successful with even a small task completed. Whenever I was selected to complete a task I would work really hard to complete it by myself. Sometimes I would fail, and others would be forced to help.
It would make me feel so belittled like I could not do things myself. I despised that feeling and never wanted to feel that way again. After that, I worked hard to get stronger and smarter so I could handle any task of any difficulty. Eventually, with experience, I got extremely better at doing things myself, it took time and patience, but I can now consider myself self-reliant.
