This paper must:
Supply a clear and explicit thesis within the first paragraph (or two)
Respond to the larger conversation surrounding your issue, which means address multiple views with fairness while still refuting them as needed
Appeal appropriately and effectively to logic, emotion, and credibility
Support claims with good reasons and base those reasons on solid evidence, whether anecdotal, statistical, or fact-based
Organize information clearly and logically using appropriate transition to help your reader make connections
Incorporate relevant quotes and paraphrases smoothly by sandwiching them so that readers know what information comes from where
Synthesize sources with each other and your own ideas
Explain and clarify claims and evidence using metacommentary
Document sources using a consistent documentation style, preferably MLA
Supply a works cited page listing a minimum of 12 sources
Include one graph, chart, photo, or some other type of visual that helps support a point (please don’t just throw a random visual into your argument)
Meet the page length of 10 (2500 word minimum)
