1. Identify (by date) 3-5 entries that seem most significant to you as a learner of the subject matter in this course. You might choose an entry that was written when you were thinking on all cylinders, discovering something revelatory, engaging in higher order thinking, struggling with an idea that was only partially formed, or experiencing confusion. Maybe you were able to transcend the classroom conversations and texts to come up with an original idea or make meaningful connections to your work and life outside this class. Select journal entries that will lend themselves to rich reflective work, keeping in mind that not only “strong” journal entries are worthy of reflection.
2. Write a reflection letter to your reader that
a. describes the entries you starred
b. explains how and why you chose them
c. draws connections between the ideas / feelings explored in each
d. reflects on the place this set of entries has in your life (as a student, teacher, worker, family member, friend, writer, artist, athlete, significant other, human, body of existential angst, etc.).
The reflection letter should be 1-2-single spaced pages. Please focus on the questions below and please site the materials I have provided below.
