Review the handout “Essential Intellectual Traits.” Select the 2 most important features of critical thinking and write an argumentative essay in which you argue for why and how they are important.
(Note: you must choose them from the Essential Intellectual traits handout.)
Write a 1 ½ to 2 page essay in which you discuss these features.
In your essay be sure you:
o Write an introductory paragraph that orients the reader to the essay
o Give a clear thesis statement in one sentence at the end of the introduction
o Develop a separate body paragraph around each feature you are discussing
o In each of the body paragraphs
o Provide a clear explanation/description of each feature
o Detail the reasons that each feature is important to critical thinking
o Give examples of each feature that show the reader what you mean
o Write a conclusion paragraph that sums up the overall point and indicated where you think you stand in relation to this skill.
