Self-reflection is critical in professional development. As an educator, you must be able to honestly evaluate your commitment to your own learning. Metacognition is one of the key principles of how people learn. How can you expect your current or future students to be accountable for their learning if you do not practice what you preach?
This assignment is designed to answer the following questions:

d. How in what ways can you improve as a learner to further promote a positive learning community?
In a 4- to 5-page paper, discuss and evaluate your responses in the class discussions and to the activities on the discussion boards (not your initial post or performance on the assignments). Focus on your interaction with others during the semester. Responding to position statements reveals your commitment. A dedicated learner seeks to interact with others to learn various perspectives and grow professionally. Since this is a reflective paper, you may write in first-person. APA format is expected. Refer to your APA manual (required text) for more information.
