PART 1
List the four broad categories of development methods, and explain what benefits may or may not come from combining all of these methods into a formal development program.
The four broad categories of development methods are Experience based, Formal education based, Self assessment based and Off job development methods I feel all these methods combined, gives you a sense of variety, meaning you can touch on all of these areas grabbing bits and pieces of only the important parts, bringing each small portion together which you would have touched on major areas. Experienced based learning, allows you to touch on the job training, performance management and knowledge. Formal educational programs, workshops and training. Self assessment is used to identify areas of concern with additional training also their strengths an Off the job development methods. You’ve covered a lot of ground with these four items. Together, I feel they would be beneficial.
PART 2
It is critical to the development and success of any organization that employee training and development be carried out. Employees who are happy will be more productive. In addition, they want to feel that their firm values them. Assessment is one of the four main avenues for employee growth, with the other three being work-related (informal education, job training, and social ties). Using these strategies together helps employee development. The four general approaches to employee development are formal education, job experiences, assessments, and interpersonal relationships. The use of one’s own work expertise is a huge benefit for both the organization and its employees. Training and development can help transferable staff find new roles, give promotions, and go on to work in other divisions. Training and ongoing guidance can help an individual improve their skills so that they can perform to their maximum capacity and, as a result, assist the organization and the production targets it’s striving for.
