This module’s topic focused on Motivation. You were provided resources to better comprehend motivation and distinguish direction, intention, and origin.
Reflect upon the message and themes learned from the assigned reading materials. In particular, focus on how your current or prior work environment may have viewed motivation or even encouraged activities to increase and sustain workplace motivation. Think through the multiple theories that you were presented in your readings (Maslow, Alderfer, Herzberg, etc) did any of those resonate with you? Have you experienced components of those theories in practice? In many companies, there are concepts and even activities that are designed to increase motivation.
Skills, knowledge, organizational environment, and one’s own abilities are factors in determining whether a person will perform a task well. Your text offers the following definition of motivation, “…a force within or outside of the body that energizes, directs, and sustains human behavior…..motivation arises as a consequence of a person’s desire to 1) fulfill unmet needs or 2) resolve conflicting thoughts” (Black & Bright, 2019, para. 7.1-4).

For this assignment, you are tasked with crafting an Infographic.
Infographics are visual communication tools that use pictures, minimal textboxes, sometimes hyperlinks, space, and color to effectively and efficiently spread a message. Infographics are tailored to the experience, crafted for a specific reason, and are used to reach multiple audiences.
You will craft an infographic based on Motivation and applied to your organization (or one that you are familiar with). Specifically choose a theory, concept, or framework of Motivation. Put time, effort, and your creative mind into developing an infographic that effectively communicates one of the theories of Motivation that has been discussed in this module. For example, you may want to highlight current research on motivation as an informational infographic or provide an equity model infographic applied to a specific situation or depict the basic goal-setting model. You may choose any concept of Motivation that we have reviewed in this module (please add a reference for your concept’s exact location in the module materials- a.k.a. your source of inspiration!).
You can create your infographic through any platform, but here are a few suggestions: Piktochart, PPT, Publisher.
