The scene happens right after Frida finds out that Diego cheated on her with her sister Cristina.You should watch the sequence closely, analyzing how the mise-en-scène, cinematography, and editing function together to support the narrative and create specific meanings for the viewer. Your essay should make a simple argument about the sequence, and your analysis should support that argument. For example, you might focus on how the cinematography of the sequence supports the characters’ state of mind, how the editing creates a rhythm that supports the actions that are portrayed within the sequence, or how the mise-en-scène functions to portray the environment or the relationships between the characters. These are just examples.It is very important that your paper has a simple thesis that is supported by the evidence provided by the visual language of the film in the given sequence.
