worldwide gross box office results? Use a scatterplot and insert a trendline to
assess the statistical significance of the relationship between the two variables.
e. Worksheet 5: Interactive Dashboard
Create a Dashboard that includes the four worksheets created in the previous
steps. Insert two global filters: Year and Genre.
For questions a to d, create a worksheet in Tableau for each question then take a screenshot
of each of the four Tableau charts using the Snipping Tool in Windows (or the corresponding
shortcuts in Mac).
For the interactive dashboard created in question e, set your filter to year=2009 and
Genre=Comedy. Then take a screenshot of the interactive dashboard with the filters applied
(only apply filters after you have taken the screenshots for the first four Tableau charts, as filters will
change the first four charts as well).
Make sure your screenshot only includes the Tableau chart, not your entire screen. Copy and
paste the screenshot to a Microsoft Word file, and then type in a short sentence describing
your result in the Word file immediately below the pasted Tableau chart. For the screenshot
for the interactive dashboard, make sure you select year=2009 and Genre=Comedy. Answer all
questions in ONE Word file and upload the Word file as well as the packaged Tableau
workbook to Blackboard.
