2. The Federal Trade Commission has primary responsibility to present false and misleading ads, while State Attorneys General and Better Business Bureaus may also help protect consumers.
Describe major laws that are responsible for consumer protection, and the entities that have responsibility for oversight.
Discuss how consumer protection is aimed at bringing about disclosure, requiring the provision of information that a consumer would need to make informed purchasing decisions through the marketplace.
Give an example a product where the regulations protected the consumer, explain how ethics played a part in this and cite your work.
