In 3-4 pages, you will develop a script and complete a checklist based on the case study to demonstrate your understanding and application of generalist practice skills. All papers in MSW 505, including this assignment, must adhere to the formatting guidelines as outlined in the 7th edition of the APA Publication Manual. It is expected that you will include at least 1 reference from the required readings and 1 reference from a credible and relevant outside source. Please adhere to the academic integrity policy of the university and the expectations on avoiding plagiarism. All papers must be submitted in a Microsoft Word document with a cover page and reference page that adheres to APA Style.
Case Study
You are an intern in a community mental health center in a large urban area where significant number of the people are living in poverty. You are assigned by your supervisor a family of a single mother and her 4-year-old male son for initial assessment. The son is presenting as hyperactive and shows some slowness in development that is age appropriate. In initial home visit you notice that the child is eating pieces of paint from the wall and the back of the closet. The mother is trying to control it but he is still able to find corners where he can do so.
Based on the case study described above, provide a short introduction that describes the case and the purpose of the paper.
