Watch this quick 3 minute clip showing the types of organisms that might be found in a drop of water within a pond.
Some of these are members of Kingdom Protista, although not all are..
Now go do a Google search for “representative species of Protists” and choose some that seem interesting.
Choose ONE and look up those particular species with separate searches to make sure you are able to find photos, videos, and other information about it.
Look up some information online about this protist, including where they live, what they eat, and if they cause a disease (in other words, are they pathogenic?).
In an original post, list the name (format: Genus species) of the protist you looked up, describe its habitat, diet and whether it is pathogenic. Make sure to list your sources! YOU MUST POST ABOUT A SPECIES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN POSTED ABOUT PREVIOUSLY TO GET CREDIT! Posting early has advantages this week.
