(40%) Gender, intersectional feminism, and adult education research paper. The purpose of this assignment is to engage in an in-depth exploration, analysis, and application of an issue that relates to gender, intersectional feminism, and adult education.
Students will choose and explain an adult education context (i.e., as relates to those discussed in this course or any other as relevant), discuss how gender applies, and engage in an intersectional feminist analysis (using gender and at least one other form of marginalization as relates to those discussed in this course or any other as relevant). For instance, students could conduct an analysis of gender and race as relates to the public pedagogy of a television program; of gender and Indigeneity as relates to decolonization of post-secondary education; or, of gender and disability as relates to workplace learning.
Students must use course readings as relevant and include at least 5 other references, with an emphasis on peer-reviewed articles that are no more than a decade old. In week 12, there will be an exercise in class to initiate feedback on this assignment.
Papers will be APA, Times New Roman, 12 point font, double-spaced, 6-8 pages, due by midnight (EST) the week after the last day of week 12. As with all assignments, papers should be grounded in adult education theory and research, well-organized with a detailed thesis statement, well-developed body, and strong conclusion, all of which should draw on supporting evidence and references as relevant. Do not use Wikipedia or associated sites, but use academic research to support your argument. Assignment #3: Gender Issues, Intersectional Feminism and Adult Education Research Paper- 40%
