3) Assignment #3: Developing Confidence as a Knower

Using specific and concrete examples summarize your participation and evolution as a knowledge-informed practitioner through your N341 experience. In your summary address the following four components:
A. Developing Professional Comportment
How did you develop professional comportment through your participation in N341? How did you actively participate? How did you link your own knowledge development to that of the rest of the class? For example, how did you share your questions and/or knowledge? What support did you offer to others? How did you try to enhance the learning community experience? For example, how did you respond to the ideas that were shared and/or the people who offered those ideas? Give an example of how you disagreed or offered an alternative perspective in a respectful and considerate way. How might you have strenthened your participation?
B. Developing Knowledge Capacities
How have you evolved as a knower as a result of your experiences in N341 this term? What specific knowledge capacities did you strive to develop? What was challenging as you sought to develop your capacities and skills as a knower within the N341 community? How has your capacity as a knowledge-informed practitioner been strengthened, honed and/or changed? How is your understanding of knowledge, yourself as a knower and/or knowledge-informed practice different now than at the beginning of term? How was your experience of completing inquiry homework reflection (Please place homework inquiry reflections in an appendix)? How have you met the learning goals you set in the first assignment? Knowing what you know now, would you have set the same or different goals and why? What learning goals do you leave the N341 with?
C. Developing a Nursing Standpoint
Has your understanding of nursing knowledge changed? Has your view of yourself as a knowledge practitioner changed over the term? How has your confidence in your ability to present your nursing standpoint been influenced as a result of your experience in N341?
D. Developing Collaborative Knowledge Capacity
How has your understanding of yourself as a ‘collaborative’ practitioner developed? Did your understanding of your role in inter-professional collaborative practice change in any way? How have you come to understand difference as integral to collaborative practice and knowledge development? How has N341 supported you to enhance your ability to foster and build relationships between people and different forms of knowledge?
Paper Length: 5-7 double spaced pages of text. This does not include your title page, references, or appendices. Please include your homework inquiry assignment in your appendices. Format: Please use Times Roman 12 point font, 1″ margins on all four sides. APA guidelines. Include a title page, introductory and summary paragraphs, and References.
