Can you construct a 3-4 page (750-1000 words) response to the course central topics and themes based on the class lectures held throughout the term, as well as the assigned primary source readings. Citations of both in-class discussions and the course readings are required for this paper. Along with citation of the class lectures, the paper should include a minimum of two primary source citations. Inclusion of the oral histories is encouraged, but not required.
Please cite using parenthetical citations or footnotes. Use the following format for the class lecture: (Burton, Lecture Notes, Module 2). To cite the primary sources, list the author’s name and the source date. For example, citing Roosevelt’s “Day of Infamy” speech, you can list it as (Roosevelt, 1941).
As a response paper, no outside material should appear within this paper. This is not a research paper; I am assessing your critical understanding and growth of knowledge based on the material covered in the class. Your paper should feature a clear thesis in the opening paragraph. Allow enough time to review and revise your paper before submitting. Writing and grammar will factor into the overall grade.
Citing supportive evidence from the course lectures and assigned readings, present a clear thesis in response to be if the question prompts below. You will only write on one question prompt; not both. Double spaced, Chicago style. Please list the total word count at the end of the paper. Avoid use of outside sources. Please only cite from lecture slides and assigned reading. I have attached all the materials.
I have attached the response paper criteria and materials.
