Possible topics:
(a) Select a news event and analyze the representations of it. For example, you can compare the mainstream news with alternative news sources and analyze why different representations of the event are provided.
(c) Analyze a movie or aTV program, using reviews and the wide range of critical analyses learned in the class.
(d) Select a few media texts and compare and contrast them, using reviews and a wide range of critical analyses learned from the class. For example, you can compare the old and the new remake of A Star Is Born.
(e) A theme that interests you, such as the impact of social media, Latino representations in the sitcom, the influence of Korean entertainment, African cinema, etc.
