Instructions
Provide an outline of your 8-10 slide presentation in a word document, linking your credible sources appropriately. The outline should include major points and text that you plan to reference as you you presenting your slides.
You should NOT have all of the text presented in this outline on your slides. Slides should have a small amount of text, mostly pictures and general themes and larger ideas.
The remaining slides are for the PowerPoint presentation.

Students will research a topic related to one of the subjects we have discussed in this course and record an 8 to 10 minute presentation (8-10 well-organized slides, including a slide that lists sources used) about one of the following:
Voting Rights in the American South: Current Issues
A brief biography of Harriet Taylor Mill
Design a faith-based nonprofit start-up that addresses a societal issue discussed in the course. This includes writing a mission statement, drafting the purpose for the institution and develop goals/aim based on the Christian views of justice (dignity of the individual, addressing issues in housing inequity, etc)
Compare and contrast Aristotle’s and Robert Nozick’s understanding of the role the state should play in the life of its citizens.
Study 6 advertisements from the 2024 Super Bowl and describe how women are portrayed in each ad. Include links.
Prepare a hypothetical annual budget for a full time employee making $15/hour in the King of Prussia, PA area. Proposed budget should be based on average costs for the geographic area and/or item listed. Include the following: Housing, transportation (gas, maintenance, car payments, public transport), taxes, food, clothing, healthcare, entertainment expenses, utilities (electric, internet), and charitable giving. In addition to full-time work, how many hours a week working “gig” jobs would the employee have to work to ensure a living wage? What specific policies or political changes to things like public transportation, healthcare, affordable housing, etc.) might make the employee’s economic situation better?
Each presentation must cite at least two credible sources and sources must be cited on a separate slide at the end of the presentation. Students are required to submit BOTH the recorded lecture (in an mp4 file created by a zoom recording or as a YouTube link) and also the completed slides to the assignment link provided in the module.
