1. Muscle Research
Please find a peer reviewed journal article describing original research having to do with the physiology of muscle contraction. It may be from any reputable journal and about any topic having to do with muscle contraction. This may include such fields as exercise physiology, rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, and others. Remember this is an original piece of research that you will be presenting. Peer reviewed journal articles are NOT articles from CDC, WebMD, NIHinfo pages, magazines, etc, rather from scientific research journals. You will find many resources by searching the MC library databases. I recommend you start by typing in a key word, and gradually narrow your search. MC librarians are also very helpful and are waiting to hear from you. I do not expect you to go crazy describing methods of research, nor results, but generally what you were able to learn from the research that provides much more in depth info than your textbook. You should plan on writing about 500-600 words
2. Senses Research
There are many diseases/disorders associated with the peripheral nervous system, as well as that of the eye and ear. You may find a list on your objectives sheets for each respective chapter. Please choose on of these (or if another interests you that is not on the list) and research it using the same parameters as the Unit 3 discussion. At least one peer reviewed article, and about 500-600 words discussing some research involved in your chosen topic. Please understand , the goal is not to tell me about the disease, but rather to uncover something you will not find in your average textbook or a CDC or NIH info page.
Please keep separate.
