Provide a personal example or one that you have witnessed in someone else to illustrate each distortion. For example, in arbitrary instance/catastrophizing one might think that if they don’t get an A in a class it is the end of their prospective career.
Next, take a look at the different types of burnout on page 356 and describe at least two that you might have to watch out for based on what you know about yourself. For example, I can see myself feeling overwhelmed because I tend to take on peoples worries. I usually get overwhelmed when my family or friends share their problems with me so I can see myself carrying a heavy load when it comes to my future clients.
