Students write a Media Plan and Media Release in response to a specific PR scenario and using the templates provided. This task requires students to demonstrate understanding of communication strategy (Media Plan) and communication tactic (Media Release). Length: Media Plan (approx 1000-1200 words) and Media Release (250-300 words).The case study of a public relations scenario with a description of 2 organisations that would be appropriate for you to represent as a PR practitioner. After reading the case study, you will choose 1 organisation as your client, and prepare a Media Plan and Media Release. You will type both into the blank Exam Template download available on the Canvas Assessment 3 page.On the day of your exam you will:

Receive an email from your teacher at 10am AEST with a Word document of the exam case study and exam template.Open the attachment and save a copy using your name and student number.Type in your Student Name and Student Number at the top of the template in the space provided.Read the case study and from the 2 listed organisations, select 1 organisation to be your client who you will represent by writing a Media Plan and a Media Release.Type the name of your client organisation in the template in the space provided

Write your Media Plan in the template provided. Make sure you address each section. We covered each of these sections in class. Write your Media Release using the template provided. You are allowed to create hypothetical statistics, names, job titles, quotes and other information. Include up to 4 hypothetic quotes only to provide a personal perspective or the organisation’s position. Structure your media release content based on the format and style covered in lectures and in class. Internet research is not required. This is a strategic planning and creative writing exercise designed to assess your understanding of the concepts covered in the subject.Please note – this task should not take 14 hours!The extra time is so you do not have to rush, not so that you can write more words.
