Explain using the Kubler-Ross model how LogistiCorp’ employees might react to such changes along with two recommendations on how to cope with these changes.

November 6, 2021
Christopher R. Teeple

Following the announcement of a new terrestrial link connecting Bahrain with Saudi Arabia back in 2014, the proposed King Hamad Causeway aims to not only strengthen the brotherly ties between both countries but to also promote alternative and modern systems (i.e., Bahrain Metro) and reduce traffic loads handled by the existing King Fahad Causeway.
In response to an RFP issued by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (via the Bahrain Tender Board), LogistiCorp is preparing to bid for a contract to manage all of the logistics and transport requirements necessary for the construction of the KHC project.
As a Logistics and Project Management Officer within LogistiCorp, you are required to create a detailed report highlighting:
• some of the possible changes that LogistiCorp will have to face if it was awarded the contract (i.e., collaboration with employees from other entities [Public and Private] involved in this project, adapting to new technology, extra working hours to ensure the completion of the project within schedule, adoption of SDWT, amongst many others [students are encouraged to identify and use their own examples when discussing the assignment tasks listed in the following page]);
• the external and internal factors (Please refer to marking rubric) that might impact the project in addition to an external market analysis of the Transport and Logistics Industry in Bahrain to help identify potential competitors to LogistiCorp (i.e., Aramex, DHL, Agility, etc.);
• and finally, map out the key Stages, Work Packages (WPs) and Sub-Sub-Tasks (SSTs) by utilizing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) tool to clearly highlight the key activities and interdependencies involved in this project.
Assignment Task:
 Internal Analysis: Meeting the requirements of this project will necessitate certain changes within LogistiCorp such as those identified in the assignment background in the previous page: Explain using the Kubler-Ross model how LogistiCorp’ employees might react to such changes along with two recommendations on how to cope with these changes. 25 Marks (LO1 and LO2)
 External Analysis (1): Explain the external market forces LogistiCorp will be exposed within Bahrain’s Transport and Logistics industry using the PESTLE framework. 20 Marks (LO2)
